Accomplishments

David has been teaching golf for 33 years. Hank Haney, one of golf’s most respected teachers, mentored him in his early career. David started out teaching PGA Tour Professionals, traveling full time with the PGA Tour

From 1983 to 1987. He was one of the 1st teachers on tour to be designated a PGA Tour Instructor. During this period he worked with over 20 PGA Tour Professionals and established himself as one of the best teacher in the US.

 

His current and former students have won 9 PGA Tour Events; over 70 top 10 finishes in the US alone, and have won many tournaments worldwide. His students have won on every world tour. In 1987 a student of David’s shot a course record 64 in the US Open at the Olympic Club, and his local newspaper in Milwaukee, WI wrote a story about David and his accomplishments. His phone started ringing with inquiries about lessons and to this day hasn’t stopped. He moved back home full time in fall of 1987 and has been teaching in Milwaukee ever since. He now specializes in teaching junior golfers and has an outstanding record of student accomplishments. Two of his former students are currently Golf Digest Top 50 Teachers.

Dave Started working with Mark in the 8th grade. He won the state high school championship as a freshman a year later. He compiled an impressive AJGA record including multiple wins. His junior year he took Tiger Woods to the 36th hole of the US Junior Open Championship Match before losing on the final hole. He received multiple division 1 NCAA scholarship offers before settling on North Carolina. He won multiple college tournaments including the ACC Championship. He was an All American his last 3 years of College. Mark also won the WI State Open Championship in 2001. Mark has since won 5 PGA Tournaments and has over 14 million dollars in Official Career Earnings.

An All American at Florida started working with David in 1987 after his 1st full season as a professional. He qualified for the 1st year of the Ben Hogan Tour. He has gone on to be one of the best players that our state has ever had. He has won the WI State Open in 1992, 1996, and 1999. He was also the PGA State Match Play champion in 2001, 2002, 2011 and 2012, and the PGA State Stroke Play Champion in 2001, 2002, and 2005. He has played in numerous PGA Championships, and over 10 PGA tour events. He was elected to the WI State Golf Hall of Fame in 2010.

Started working with Carley as an eighth grader, she won the State High School Championship twice, finished 2nd once and 8th as a freshman. David started working with Heather as an 8th grader. She won a high school record 3 straight High School Championships. She received a golf scholarship to Iowa where she excelled. Heather is the only deaf person to play golf in WI high school history.

Leighann is very unique having only been playing for 3 years. She just accepted a scholarship from Memphis University a very highly ranked women’s collegiate golf program. She finished 35th in the State High School Championship as a freshman, 2nd as a sophomore and junior, and 3rd as a senior. She is going to be a great one.

Currently on golf scholarship at the University of WI. Robbie had an impressive high school career including a 2nd place in the State High School Championship, and 6 top 10 finishes in AJGA tournaments. This summer he won the State Bestball Championship with his Brother Paul, Finished 2nd in the State Amateur Championship and 4th and was low amateur in the State Open Championship.

Paul won multiple high school tournaments, and received a scholarship to the University of Wisconsin. Paul was the 2nd ranked amateur player in WI, 2012. Paul just turned professional and is working toward the PGA Tour.

 

 

 

 

Sara Miley

Dave started working with Sara as a freshman in high school.  She won 3 State High School Championships and multiple AJGA Tournaments. Se was highly recruited out of high school before accepting a scholarship to Georgia, a highly regarded SEC golf program. She won the SEC championship as a senior and won team titles as a freshman and senior. She has won multiple State Open and State Amateur Championships.

David started working with Dave Miley as a sophomore in college. His junior year he won two prestigious college tournaments. He won the WI State Open Championship in 1993 and played on the Nike Tour and Hogan Tour. He played in multiple PGA Tour events with several top 20 finishes.

Tim Cantwell

Tim received a golf scholarship to Division 1 Mississippi, won the prestigious North and South Amateur Championship, and the Wisconsin State Amateur Championship.

 

Edvins Erkmanis

Started working with Dave as a freshman in high school. He won the State High School Championship as a senior and went on to receive a golf scholarship from The Ohio State University.

Worked with Dave as a freshman, golf scholarship to Drake University.

Started with Dave as a freshman in high school received a golf scholarship from the University of Wisconsin.

 

Lexi Greytak

Lexi had an impressive high school resume including two second place finishes in the State High School Championship. She led her team to three high school team championships. She will attend the University of Wisconsin next year on golf scholarship.

Started working with as a sophomore in high school, finished 3rd in the Optimist Junior World Championship as a junior and received a scholarship to the University of Wisconsin.

Mike Allen

Started working with as a sophomore in high school. Finished fourth in the Illinois State High School Championship and received a golf scholarship to the University of Illinois, playing on the same college team as Steve Stricker.

 

 

This is just a small example of what David’s students have accomplished with his help. He enjoys working with golfers of all abilities, including beginners. David is the only golf professional who is also a certified Gyrotonic and Gyrokinesis Trainer. He is also certified to teach on the Archway, Leg Extension Machine, and Level II Gyrotonic. David takes the health and fitness of his students very seriously, and it is a very important part of their development as players.
